Society Directors

Chris Anderson has been LARPing since 1999 and has helped organize many different LARP projects over the years. In 2026 he helped found the Red Deer LARP Society to expand the hobby in Alberta. Chris prides himself in character work and developing quick thinking improv.

Shane Stimson has worked behind the scenes in the Red Deer LARP community for many years organizing and ensuring venues are acquired. Designing, supplying and building many props that transform our play areas into immersive settings. As Vice President, Shane continues this logistics role for all games under the Red Deer LARP Society banner.

Carol is instrumental in lending her expertise in accounting to ensuring full transparency in the Red Deer LARP Society. Carol has brought a level of true professionalism to her role and has guided the Red Deer LARP Society through the founding process.

Jake Vossepoel has spent three decades organizing and running a variety of tabletop roleplaying games through several mediums: in person, online, at conventions, and on streaming channels. They have brought their “Yes-And…” narrative style to both the “Las Vegas : City of Sin” and “We Are The Land” parlour LARPs in Red Deer.

Kyle Johnson has long been a pillar in the Red Deer LARPing scene. He has run multiple games in Red Deer and has been relied upon in the past to pick up the mantle and execute a new vision for failing games. Kyle's storytelling, vision and mentorship are traits the board welcomes and leans on.
